Hallo,

I want to install RSP Standard 5A40. But doesnt work. Webes Install failed. The Installation from Postges 8.3 works fine but the service dont start. The configfile in the Data Directory is missing.

Some of the possible reasons, why WEBES cannot communicate with PostgreSQL is described in
C:\Program Files\HP\Installers\WEBES\PostgreSQL.htm .
Also to be checked, to be retyped: The WEBES password in PorsgreSQL service.

Hi,

If you install Insight remote support standard using domain administrator then postgres will install like you described: no postgersql service.
You should remove your RSP and try to install it with a local administrator.

I found the solution. I have install w2k3 english with keyboard german. The Postgresql install could not create files in DATA Directory. The problem is the path c:\program files\PostreSQL\... etc. When I install in c:\programs\PostgreSQL\ it works fine.
