Hello

I am trying to access Enterprise console page via https://localhost:8080/polltracker, without using FQDN or IP address of SPOP box. But I am displayed with blank page with page error. Connection is not through proxy. Local Host IP is defined in hosts file. How do I check whether this port is not used by any other process. What could be the reason of ESC not responding.

I am also unable to stop/start motserv process, either via command prompt or from windows services menu.If I attempt to stop the motserv process, it takes long time and no response.

I am unable to access https://isee.europe.hp.com/soapfe/soap, displayes page error. How can I check whether SPOP is able to resolve to HP backend and which Ip address.
Any help how to intrepret mad.log, server.log files and also help on network exception errors description.
The ESC should be accesible via:

https://localhost:8080/console

You can use the command 'netstat' on a command prompt to check on which port a process is listening.

The url https://isee.europe.hp.com/soapfe/soap should be enough to test connectivity. (or https://isee.asiapac.hp.com/soapfe/soap if the server is located in Asia)

Have you looked up the current documentation? There is some info about network exceptions in there..

Hello,

Looks to me either your Proxy Server has been changed or port 443 outbound has been blocked.

Check motserv.log, if it says starting, means it's having problem, also check when was the last time it was in running status, then you may be able to figure out what was changed during that time frame.

Motive Server (motserv) needs to connect to HP backend during start-up.

server.log should show error connecting to https://isee.europe.hp.com.

Hope this helps,

cnu,

Firstly, let me ask what are you trying to do, then we can try to help.
https://localhost:8080/polltracker is NOT a valid URL.

If you are on a SPOP and you want to access the ESC, you can either click on the Enterprise Service Console icon, or using this URL: https://localhost:8080/console.

If you cannot get the page to display, look at my post above to troubleshoot the problem.

Hope this helps,

Hi Folks,

I have found the solution with the help of your comments. Found from server.log that connectivity to backend fails, added the IP address entry in hosts file, and motserv started, SPOP was back to Polling status and could open ESC. Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback.

Help on following Errors in mad.log

ERROR,[Main] IOException (3): (futil.cpp:35) ex_fopen failed: /opt/hpservices/vendors/HP_Services/vendorcert.bin
ERROR,[Comm] MotiveException (28): checkOEMInstall: no contact info
ERROR,[Comm] NetworkException (8): host not found
