What is HP Runner?
HP Runner (also known as the ISEE Availability Monitor) reports availability information to the HP Datacenter in near real-time. Runner allows operators to enter a system downtime reason and automatically attempts to determine the cause of the downtime for the system and other monitored items. Additionally, Runner automatically detects and monitors Oracle databases, Serviceguard components, and Network Interfaces1. Runner also allows users to monitor applications or other items on the system.

Please see the attached PDF for more. Runner will be replaced by AVC (Availability Collector) in the near future.

Hope this helps,
