Hi Stefano,
I've also a system on which the version 8.3 of postgesql cannot be installed.
Sucessful workaround: maually installed version 8.4 then manually created the databases (description in \Program Files\HP\Installers\WEBES\PostgreSQL.htm).
The system on which you've installed IRSS must be added to System Event Analyzer - Default Group.
Regards, Werner
I've downloaded RS-STD0911 and tried to install it.
The setup fails at the webes installation.Looking at the logs I found that it fails installing postgresql.
The postgresql installation fails because it does not create the postgresql.conf file .
Even manually installing postgresql fails the same .

Can anyone provide a workaround , if any , or a postgresql.conf to use ?
thanks
Since I've had the same problem even with version 8.4 I looked into log files .
I found that installation failed when the setup tried to change the permission of "data" directory.
So I manually changed that permission and ran the command which failed .
Then I manually created the DEsta DB as specified in the help file
thanks
