    <description>It's more like you need the latest agent release for the latest release of ESX. I'm not aware of any issues using the most up to date agents with older versions of ESX.</description>

      <description>Usually there is only one version of the 'hpmgmt' package that matches to an ESX release. I go to the support pages of a recent server (the change that the links in the back-end database are maintained properly is more likely) and select the ESX release. If I can't find it, I look at other model's support pages before giving up.</description>

      <description>I've been able to make it work with ESX 3.5 using the 8.2.0 agents where you simply have to set the CMS as the SNMP trap destination. I had trouble with the agents prior to 8.2.0 so I'd avoid older agents if possible.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Olivier</description>

      <description>I've checked some installation logs and found I have worked with 8.0.0, 8.1.0, 8.2.0 and so on. According to a screen shot even the old 8.0.0 was able to send a memory ECC problem to HPSIM.</description>
