topic ISEE on SMA - simulate disk problem test in Insight Remote Support

Hi,

I've just setup ISEE/OSEM/WEBES on our EVA's.

IseeConnectivityTest.bat, OSEM test events (from the OSEM gui) and WEBES test events (wsea test) all work OK and show up in the ISEE client and HP then responds which is as expected.

Its great that these test events work, but I'd really prefer to simulate an actual EVA problem (eg lost/bad disk etc). Is there some other way I can test or simulate this to see if the problem gets picked up OK and gets thru the WEBES/OSEM/ISEE chain to HP?

The SMA is a Windows based system so things like send_test_event dont work.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thx
MD

Hi,

I believe you can unplug the Fiber cable or pull out a disk (if possible), these will generate a real event.

Regards,
