Hi Liem,

Thanks for this. It may be disk space as well as a the start of the install there were messages about disk space :
Cannot open the logfile on this target or source. Possibly
the media is read-only or there is a permission problem.
Check the daemon logfile and "/var/tmp/swagent.log" on this
host for more information.

which I had not spotted before so now I have two options to try . I will let you know how I get on.

Karen

Hello All,

I wonder has anybody seen this error message before . I am trying to install ISEE on a node running HP-UX B 11.00.A and i am getting the following message * Beginning the Configure Execution Phase.
NOTE: HPUX version is B.11.00
ERROR: The "configure" script for "Availability" failed (exit code
"1"). The script location was
"/var/tmp/BAAa01632/catalog/Availability/pfiles/configure".
* This script had errors and the execution of this product
cannot proceed until the problem is fixed. Check the above
output from the script for further details.
NOTE: SysInfo setSysInfoCronEntry.sh.
ISEE preinstall configuration script was not run prior to
the ISEE installation.
To setup SysInfoRunMap.sh to run from cron, execute the
following:
/opt/hpservices/contrib/SysInfo/bin/setSysInfoCronEntry.sh -i
NOTE: Installing rst_dm_TL_adapter.clcfg version for HP-UX 10.20/11.00

* Summary of Execution Phase:
* 9 of 9 filesets had no Errors or Warnings.
ERROR: The Execution Phase had errors. See the above output for
details.

It has the patch bundle B.11.11.0306.1 and also Onlinediag B.11.11.16.09

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Karen
Hi Karen,

The above error is saying that you haven't setup Data Collection for ISEE. To do so, run:

/opt/hpservices/contrib/SysInfo/bin/setSysInfoCronEntry.sh -i

Follow the instruction to choose date and time for the collection to run.

After this, run crontab -l and you should see a new cron job.

Regards,

Karen,

if it is indeed a space issue, do a swremove on the ISEE product after you have freed up some disk space. I have found it best to remove and do a fresh install in order to get the app to run correctly.

Dave

Dave, Liem,

I noticed that there was no mad log file in /opt/hpservices/log and a few others were missing and there was plenty of disk space so I did a swremove and had to manually delete the bin and lib directory after removing files in them that had a # in front of them - the rm command wouldn't work if I typed rm #mad or rm #madcli which stumped me for a while as I am really a VMS person and haven't worked on any unix boxes for a good while ! THEN I typed rm *man* and this deleted them ! Once the directories were removed and I re-installed from scratch it all went fine .

Thanks for your help .

Karen
