change contact information on many hosts

Hello,

I have some hosts on my ISEE Console. (~250)
is there a 'batch' way to change contact information ?
I mean, can I deploy a list of new contact from a central point, rather than looping through all my hostst,
http://ahost:5060/start.html -> etc ...
?

I think you can do it. List all the server names in one file and run for loop to copy contact information.

Don't remember exact file name where it stores. I think it is on /opt/isee .. or something like that.

file is /opt/hpservices/etc/motprefs

I simply have to log on all systems to make the changes :-(

Hi,

Yes, /opt/hpservices/etc/motprefs has Contact information, however, modifying this file is not recommended and not supported, you should always do the modifications within the GUI.

Another alternative way (if you need to upgrade ISEE version at the same time) is to created the pre-configured depot (or it's called installing ISEE in an Enterprise). Please see the Client Installation Guide for more details.

Hi,
there is a script call coreconfig to modify the configured data. What OS do you use? It might be a solution to have a script to run on each client to modify the date.
