Has anyone tried using this E2vt tool ? I can't seem to get it to work. URL is:

http://www.ncomtech.com/Ev2tHelp.html

Or has anyone got a MIB for the Microsoft Event to Trap Translator Evntwin.exe which looks so promising until you figure out that there is no MIB to compile into the console, so all you get is unidentified Events.
Hi Robert, thanks for the reply. Out of interest, so you have any secirity settings on your SNMP service, like only accept SNMP from the following .... or use community strings besides "public" ? As I do and I think it may be affecting the product.

Also out of interest, so you use any other SNMP tools over and above HP SIM ?
This product can be configured to use specific trap community and destination ip.
In my case I configured my HPSIM IP as destination and a community and it worked.
Of course this application is not practical for a large number of servers, but at least it gives more information than eventwin.

I'm not using any other SNMP product over HPSIM, because it is proven to be very limited supporting other hardware than HP.
There are lots of generic snmp managers available for mixed platforms.

Robert,
I downloaded your attached .mib, but not quite sure how to go about customizing it. do you have an example .mib for a specific event that I could browse?
