Can anybody suggest anything?

I have 420 servers within HP SIM 4.2, the majority are working OK, however I have several servers within DMZ's that have NAT'd addresses.

In HP SIM these devices show up as not trusted, however these servers have the same agents on as the working servers and the configuration has been checked over and over again.

Someone must have had this problem in the past?

Does HP SIM not like devices that are NAT'd?

Help, please........

Hi Richard,

You will need to open ports 2301 and 2381 from your DMZ to your trusted zone in order for the management agents to communicate with the CMS. If the CMS can only ping the device, but not talk to the management agents, the device will be deemed "unmanaged."

Good luck,
- Steve
Thanks for your response Steve, however....

These ports have been opened on the firewall for some time, the devices are still showing as unmanaged and not trusted even though the agents are set up correctly and all the necessary ports are open through the firewall. I only have this problem with NAT'd devices????????

Any suggestions welcome........

Thankyou in advance......
