Has anyone seen this type of error?

Sending failed; Could not connect to SMTP host: xxxxxxxx, port: 25; java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: connect

When my SIM42 server tries to send out email alerts, I would get the above error. I've worked with the network people, and they indicated that there's no problem connection. The second part of the error seems to point to Java as the problem???
