topic Insight Manager: ssh not authenticating in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

I am having a problem getting HP Insight Manager CMS on a Red Hat server to access my other Red Hat servers using ssh.

I followed the install document for the CMS and the agents then used mxagentconfig to push the keys from the CMS to the agent servers. Although this worked and I can see the agent servers from the Insight Manager ssh is not working to monitor the servers. I have an error in my sshd logs on the agent 'Did not receive identification string from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' (the x's just mark the IP address of the CMS). This error occurs twice a day, I suspect when the CMS is trying to contact the agents.
I thought this was a key issue as I was unable to ssh from the CMS to the agent without entering a password. So I setup the ssh keys manually and can login now using rsa public key authentication. However, the CMS is still unable to get access to the agent servers and I have tried running a command line tool from Insight manager on the agent server but receive this error: 'MxFailedAuthenticationException'.

Anyone any ides? Thanks in advance.
