Someone had changed our Trap destinations. Once changing this, we were receiving emails based on our "all Critical - all Servers" automatic event handler.

Thanks!

We are running HP SIM 4.1 and our IM agent baseline is 7.1. All systems have trusts established, and the polling is set to 2 minute intervals. We are currently receiving all events, except failed drives that are part of a raid 5 set. This has happened 2 weeks in a row. We checked to see if there were any Automatic Event Tasks that could be clearing these events, but there aren't. We verified these systems were sending events to the SIM manager via disconnected NIC's which seemed to work fine. The only time we see the failed drive in the raid set, is when we manually run the HW Status Poll on the systems we already know have the problem.

Thanks in advance!

Do you have the Trap Destination set up on the Remote Server to point back to the HPSIM Server?
The I think the Storage Agent should pick up the failure which it would then generate an SNMP Trap for.
