I am upgrading servers with ss6.2 with 7.2 using RDP 2.0. The installation is hanging when the network drivers are updated. The only solution is to reboot the box, remove the network card from device manager (Windows)and have Windows redetect the hardware. This causes all network settings to be lost. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

I have called HP with no results.

This happens on W2K and W2K3, on DL380G2, DL380G3 and ML530G2.

Thanks,

Dan

yes i've seen this, and have had a call in with HP since 24 feb 05 have sent them everything they have requested and chased about 10 times, still no reply from them. HP's support is some of the worst i have ever experienced. the problem is wth the HP NC61xx/71xx/310x Gigabit Ethernet NIC Driver for Windows 2000 8.1.5.5 included in the support pack, they have just released a new driver 8.4.21.0, i'm going to try installing this and see how i get on.

I believe Softpaq 7.30A isn't that far away.
You may want to wait for this or update the NIC Drivers to the latest version first and then apply the Softpaq.
