Have you added the IP Range of your RIB or iLO Boards to the Automatic Discovery?
When this Range is not included, Management Processor of the Server will be marked with ?.

Thanks
I have not used auto discovery, just added hosts manually for testing - looking to use a bulk import (see other post)over 1300 servers in environment.

.

I have run into the same problem. I manage 30 servers with a SIM server and only 1 servers "MP" column is ticket (DL560). The other 29 all have a "?" in the management processor column (various DL360G3/G4's and DL380G3/G4's). All the servers are configured the same with PSP7.10 installed (Win2000 & Win2003). On the management homepages the Integrated Lights Out link is present and functional so it's only SIM which does not seem to be able to discover the "MP" in the servers properly (All managed servers are added to the SIM machine via manual entry/hosts file). Comparing the one DL560 iLO which is showing up in SIM settings with the other iLO's reveals no differences. I am running Systems Insight Manager 4.1 with SP1 for Windows (Build version: C.04.01.00.01).

I have another site running a SIM server managing 8 boxes and all their "MP" columns are ticked and links functional without any special configurations. Any ideas?
I wish it was as easy as running the device identification. I have tried initiating this and the other system tasks and so far no luck. The SIM has been live for a year now and I have recently only started incorporating the VC and other components and noticed this problem.
In the meantime I have now updated all the iLO firmware to 1.70 and checked that the iLO drivers are correct on said servers. I have also made sure the Insight Remote Insight agent component is enabled in Control Panel and checked that all the iLO default ports have not been changed.
Once I find a resolution I will be sure to post it...

Bart. I have run the discovery of the iLO IP addresses and this works 100%. SIM associates the devices immediately and all is well. I was under the impression SIM would read the MP/iLO IP from discovered servers and add these itself but this is obviously not the case. So it goes...
Your feedback much appreciated!!
