Ed's correct: you can change all the SNMP properties via the Replicate Agent Settings. If you don't have the trust already setup to the managed node, you can use the Configure-Repair Agent tool to set it for Windows systems. In the next major version of SIM, this will be extended to be able to do the same for Linux and HP-UX systems too.

Once the Replicate Agent Settings task is successfully run against those systems (you have to have one task for Windows system, a different task for Linux systems); then run the Data Collection task. This task is what collects that SNMP data - by default I don't think it runs but every other week. Once this completes, the data is in the db and ready for lists....

-Darrin

Is there a way to update the location property for multiple servers all at once. I manage about 7500 servers and would like to use the location field as an additional filter, but I don't want to change them one at a time.

Thanks in advance.

The server role field in the agents can be used for that and you can do group updates of the field in HP SIM...

Matt,
Look under Deploy > Replicate Agent Settings (I think) and you will find that you can duplicate many settings (including location info) from one "template" server to multiple targets that trust the SIM console.
Ed

Thanks for the replies... I was kinda hoping to do it before I take control of the systems, but this will work.

Thanks again.
