Dell has written a paper on how to do this. Do a search for "Systems Insight Manager" on their site...

HP also has a WP. 3rd party MIBS come with SIM 4.x you only need to turn them on.

http://www.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/simsnmp.pdf
We have lots of IBM 335's 345's and a Blade centre.

There were already some Mibs in HP Insight Manager, I got some extra's like the blade and I think some Raid Mibs, and I just Compiled and registered them, tweaked the severity levels to what I wanted and hey presto IM discovered them
it also sends me alerts like disk failure etc and there is a nice link to the Director HTML page on the system proiperties of each individual server.

regards

Hi Peter,
We are in the same situation, with IBM HS20 Blades. SNMP traps are coming to our Managment box with SIM 4.2, but we can't see anything like Disk info etc. I have mcompiled some mibs from the ibm site, but am a little lost as to what to do now.

any assistance would be great :-)
