I am attempting to monitor our HP-UX boxes with or HP SIM Server. I am having trouble subscribing to the WBEM events from my SIM Server. I recieve the error:

An internal error occurred.
String index out of range: -1

Thanks

OK, i was able to determine that it was a DNS issue with a reverse look up problem. I was able to correct this issue on by DNS Server and now when i go to subscribe to WBEM events on my SIM Server it returns with an exit code of 7 and states that it is Unable to connect to system.

unable to connect to system sounds like an authentication error.

Are you running SIM from MS? Do you have a valid login account from MS to HPUX? Is ssh correctly configured?

Many possibilities here.
