Help! When I attempt to update my servers with the VCA 2.11.720, it errors out. When I attempt to reinstall it, I get the following message: The software is not supported for installation on this system.

The HP System Management Homepage Win32 service was not found by the installer.

Press 'Close' to exit Setup.

Why would the new version of VCA kill the old one only to prevent the new version from installing?

Based on the error message you relayed it looks like the VCA is looking for the System Management Homepage Service to be installed and it was not. PSP 7.20 has a new component called the System Management Homepage. I would trying installing that before you try and upgrade the VCA. If you are installing the 7.20 PSP the SMH component will get installed by default.
