Make sure that all scheduled tasks are changed to be owned by another user before deleting any user accounts in SIM. I blew away my user id in SIM and lost everything that I had configured in managed tasks. I restored the database and the System Insight Manager to get everything back.

I have several email notification event tasks but they are not working so I wanted to edit them but as I step through the edit steps, I am not allowed to get past 'Select Systems', no matter what I change it to. I receive an error on the page. I've attached a screenshot of the error details. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing the error while trying to edit a task?

Thx,
Josh
I figured this out today (at least on my system). I logged into SIM using another account and I was able to create and edit new tasks. I then deleted and recreated my SIM account and it's working now under my previous login too. Maybe there's a better way to fix it but this worked for me.

Josh,

I had exactly the same problem. When creating or editing a task, it would not bring up the "System name" field, and was giving me errors on the page.
I had made a manual change to a system name earlier (DNS resolution was not working properly), so I went back, set it back to the original discovered name on that particular server - and it now works fine! I would say that this is the same problem your are having....

I was having what looked to be a similar problem. I didn't have the pop-up error box, but judging by the background image the same problem.

Every time I tried to create an auto-event task, I could not choose from the full list of drop-down boxes. The IS/IS NOT drop-down was empty.

Since it was a fresh installation, I un-installed, and then re-installed, and everything is OK now.
