    <description>Can anyone confirm the ping process that HPSIM 4.1 uses to check on the 'live' status of servers.  I had a server that had blackscreened and could definately not be pinged!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HPSIM did not alert, it alerted once it was available, I seen this in the past where system unreachable is not very reliable for alerting.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Coul dsomeone shed any light on this?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks  A</description>
