Hi Tracey

Do you need this for rebooting or just to set a bunch of servers in suspend mode?

For the reboot issue I wrote a little script, which can be started by a shutdown script remotely on the CMS.
Take a look here:
http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=805599)

Maybe you can use some parts for your issue?

Best regards
Jimmy

I'm trying to automate the suspend/resume of monitoring in SIM using the mxnode command (without having to specify a -f option)

according to the mxnode man pages, you can use mxnode -m <SYSTEM name=""> (with an -i option) but does not provide details of what the -i option is)

I've tried various alternatives, such as:
mxnode -m <SYSTEM name=""> -i monitoring="suspend"

but no luck ...

Any ideas ? Hate to have to write an additional script that creates the file that is used as an option.
</SYSTEM></SYSTEM>
