topic --issCSF.exe eating up virtual memory in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager

We have a server that needs to be rebooted every week because issCSF.exe is eating up the virtual memory. After doing some searching over the web I found some articles pointing towards Compaq Insight Manager as the issue. Has anyone had this problem? If so, did you just install a newer version to fix the problem? Here is our system configuration:

OS: Windows 2000 SP4

HP Agents: all 6.40

thx

Dave

That executable didn't look familiar to me, so I scanned a couple of systems here with the agents and that executable was not found.

I did a 'net search just like you did, and found the forum entry (mirrored on a bunch of sites) that said:

"This is a known issue. Check ISS Knowledge base( http://www.iss.net/support/knowledgebase/) and type in the Search Text Field "isscsf". It is related to the version of Compaq Insight Manager you are running."

However, following the instructions doesn't give any response. Further, this red herring does provide a bit of a clue with the site iss.net which belongs to Internet Security Systems and if you look, you can find the document below that refers to that executable as one of their components:

http://documents.iss.net/literature/InternetScanner/IS_TechOverview70.pdf

Unless there is some mysterious interaction from the Insight agents that causes their Internet Security Scanner to start leaking memory, I believe this is unrelate to anything from HP.
