HPSIM Reporting and Dell Servers

We have a network of HP and Dell servers. We are using HPSIM 4.2. The Dell servers in the SIM are manageable. The dellarymgr.mib and the dell10892.mib are enabled in the SIM and the Dell Server Admin is seen correctly. Also the Dells are being monitored by SNMP.

The problem I am having is that the reporting is not working on the Dell servers. I am wondering if something needs to be added.

In HPSIM, I go to the Reports menu and try to run one of the canned reports that are included with SIM. The only results i see are for the HP serers, not my Dell ones. I'm wondering if there's something else I need to do for the Dell stats to be seen.

HP SIM uses SNMP only for status and to receive traps from the Dell servers. Data collection is done via WMI. Make sure the WMI Mapper is loaded and functioning and that you have valid credentials entered for WBEM within SIM.

Do a search for HP SIM at the Dell web site. They have a step by step guide.
