I actually had the wrong IP for the cluster. I did an automatic discovery and it did work. The manual discovery probably would have worked as well. The cluster is now listed as an MSCS cluster and the two nodes are also recognized correctly. There is one remaining problem. When you click on the cluster name and the Cluster Monitor is invoked, no resources show up. It says loading, but nothing appears in the Cluster Monitor window.

I having a problem discovering a MSCS cluster. I have read some previous threads on the subject. I have enable the cluster agents via the HP Management Agent applet in Control Panel and have restarted the SNMP and HP SIM services. I have deleted the clustered nodes and re-added them. They are discovered just fine as HP servers. When I execute a manual discovery of the clusters themselves, nothing appears in the system or event lists. When I try and discover the clusters via their IP addresses, I receive the following message:

The system could not be added for the following reasons:

A system already exists with the IP Address you provided. Please specify a unique IP address.

I'm at a loss as to where to go from here.

Delete the cluster and its nodes.
Run an automatic discovery with IP address of cluster and its nodes specified in the IP inclusion range.
