    <description>Yes, but what criteria do you use, the only options I have are: "asignee", "event category", "severity".  No matter which one of these I choose I am unable to find criteria for removing old events, not just critical or major, but any event that is older than 7 days.</description>

      <description>I recently rebuilt my HP SIM server from scratch, and can not remember how to configure SIM to clear old events.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a query that finds all events that are older than 7 days.  Can some one help me create a task to clear these events automatically, on a daily basis?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am running the most current version of SIM as of 8-2-05 when I redownloaded it.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>You can create a task from Options-&amp;gt;Events-&amp;gt;Automatic Event Handling-&amp;gt;New Task...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;After giving your criteria, opt for the "Clear Event" check box and then finish creating the task.</description>
