    <description>You can do a straight upgrade from MSDE to SQL.  Just launch the SQL Server 2000 installation on the box.  It will see the instance of MSDE and allow you to perform the upgrade.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are looking to move the database from the MSDE to another server running SQL 2000 it's a bit more complicated.  I beleive you'll need to reinstall SIM and point to the SQL Server and let it recreate a new blank database for you.  After installation of SIM, you can then copy the old database over onto the new one.</description>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;I have installed sim with msde that came with it. but now i want to change my database to sql 2000.&lt;BR /&gt;does any one know how to do this?&lt;BR /&gt;How do i change the connaction string to the new database?&lt;BR /&gt;thank's&lt;BR /&gt;ron</description>
