To get the cluster identified with associations properly you need to run a discovery with the ip address of both the cluster nodes and the cluster.

So delete all the cluster nodes first then the cluster and run the discovery.

Hey all,
I'm trying to run discovery on a MS cluster but only on the two physical nodes. Both the automatic and manual discovery both report both server as having the same IP address. DNS has the correct address.... Any ideas?
Thanks
I used to have exactly the same problem.

Fixed it by editing the SNMP settings. In the security tab set 'Accept SNMP packets from these hosts' to 127.0.0.1, (ie localhost) and discovery now works properly.

What is the difference in the Local Host, 127.0.0.1 specification and the accept from all host check box?

Localhost and 127.0.0.1 are the same thing, just the local server.
The Accept All Hosts means that the Server will accept an SNMP request from any Server.

For a Server to be identified by HPSIM you need at least the localhost entry plus an entry for the HPSIM Server itself.
No entries are required if you select the allow all hosts box. Not having the allow all hosts box checked is a better security model. The default changed from allow all to selected with W2003.
