Hi

I have the exact same issue with my HP SIM installation. Tried a lot of different measures with no luck at all. Maybe there is a bug?

Christian

Hi all

After upgrade from 4.2 sp2 to 5.0 i don't receive html-mails. The Message in the mail is only "The event or device was probably deleted."

When i try in txt-format i have fewer information then in the earlier HP Sim 4.2 html-messages:
"Location: Slot 3
Bus Number: 1
Bay: 3
Model: COMPAQ BD03663622
FW Rev: BDC4
Serial Number: 163117544113
Failure Code: 7
Status: failed"

What's wrong here?

Thanks.

Upgraded to 5.0 here and some alerts get sent, some don't. Three admins all with the same identical event handling profiles and we get random behavior.

Also, I noticed that the severity levels of some alerts have changed. For example, in 4.1 I always received an alert on a cold start. In 5.0 I do not. I do realize the specific MIB can be modified accordingly, but I also wonder if defaults were changed in the new product.

After the upgrade, edit the task and see if it is still set to HTML, then save the task again and see if that helps.

The event (MIB) data has changed in that newer MIBs are part of SIM 5, but nothing has changed to tweak the format or anything (from 4.x days).

If upgrading this is weird; if putting SIM 5 on a different server, you might not have trap destinations set correctly on managed nodes (if the CMS/IP has changed).

Hi,
i've also this behaviour since upgrading to SIM 5.0. The recived event Messages will not be forewarded as Html Mail. Just plain Text Messages work.

We've got the same Probleme. Also installing the SIM on another Server doesn't solve the Problem.

Seems to be a bug.

Is this solved meanwhile? We have the same Problem after moving IM to another Server (DNS Name stayed, so no trap destination Problem). Text Mail works, HTML not.

Yes, the problem is solved.
Replace the entry CMSLocale=de_AT with CMSLocale=en_US in the file globalsettings.props and restart the sim-services. html-notifications will work afterwards.
