I am getting "One or more POST errors occurred. Power On Self-Test (POST) errors occur during the server restart process." events in HP SIM. I have restarted these problematic servers but some days ago and I am getting these events today. I am afraid these are false events. If I reboot the servers today (HP BL 20p G2/G3) I don't see any POST error. Just some info: previosly I have made online BIOS and RAID controller firmware upgrades. These servers have no battery pack inside for RAID.

Have you ever faced with this situation? And do you have idea where can I get detailed information about what POST error I had previously? I have checked Integrated Management Log, iLO Event Log, but no indication about any POST error.

HP SIM can only receive an event like this. Something would have to have generated it in the first place. Suggest additionally checking the Windows event log.

I checked one of our servers where I got POST message. I am at the latest hardisk firmware level available (I used firmware CD 7.40 to verify this). Maybe POST said only "check your harddisk firmware to be sure..." without any version checking.
