HPSIM- Slow loading Java applet at start

HI all,
I have just installed HPSIM and have noticed that the Java applet takes at least 5 mins to load, sometimes evein timing out. I am using the Sun Java 1.4.1 runtime version.

Have anyone else experienced slow applet loading.

My system considt of Novell , NT, 2000, 2003 and Linux servers.

My workstation is an HP compaq d530, runing XP pro.

At what point is it slow?
What about if you browse directly to an Agent on a Server?

What browser, IE 6?

We've had lots of discussions about how hpSIM needs to have forward and reverse DNS lookups to deal properly with a managed server in this forum, but here's an example of needing a healthy DNS environment in general. Check to see if the CMS (the hpSIM central management server) can properly resolve the workstation you are using to access it. That can account for what you are experiencing.

Additionally, you should also make sure that the browser on the d530 is on the exception list for your proxy, if one is in use.
