    <description>It sounds like the traps are being filtered by SIM. If the correct MIB is not regsistered, you will need to accept unregistered traps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may also need to turn off filters in the discovery window (or change the discovery filter to accept traps from the device types you monitor.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Richard</description>

      <title>HP SIM 5 not picking up Procurve traps</title>

      <description>The only trap HP SIM picks up from a procurve 4108GL or 2524 is Link Up or Link Down. I confirmed via Ethereal a port violation trap is being sent by the switches but HP SIM ignors it. Is anyone receiving traps from HP switches other than link up link down and if so, what does it take to accomplish this?</description>
