I know this has been asked before, but I have tried to compile the newest APC PowerNet.mib (Version 369) and I keep getting the same error. I have replaced all the "Severe's" w/ "Critical", and "Warning's" w/ "Major". The MIB compiles corectly using mcompile, but it fails while trying to use mxmib.

IMPORTING CFG powernet369.cfg
Error reading CFG: TRAP-TYPE Unexpected word in macro Line: 33,595.
AN ERROR OCCURRED EXECUTING THE COMMAND

Just for clarification, I am using HP SIM v 4.2 on Windows 2000 Server SP4.

Any Help would be appriecated.

On the line specified in powernet.cfg, there is an extra quote in the line. The line needs to look like this:

--TYPE "APC XGEN: Nonfunctionality of battery charger is cleared."

I tried doing the same thing with powernet369.mib on HP SIM 5.0 and received the same error. I asked APC about it, and they had me download a slightly older MIB : powernet368.mib, change #SEVERITY SEVERE to #SEVERITY CRITICAL, and it compiled and registered just fine.
