    <description>Yes. You are right. The cleared events typically means that the event is given attention to. Cleared events will not take part in the Banner alarm too!</description>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;I am using HPSIM 4.2 SP2 on WIN2K SP4. When creating Automatic Event Handling, at Step 4 of 6, what does “Clear Event” mean ? &lt;BR /&gt;If I checked it, does it means this particular event will be cleared and email alert will NOT be sent ? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I think it depends as to which one out of the email and clear events task gets activated first.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Maybe, you'll have to modify the event criteria such that the task doenot process those events meeting the criteria.</description>
