I had saw these event descriptions, but I don't know where to look exactly. For instance, for a fan failure on a BL20p, which mib is it?

I guess I'm actually looking for documentations about the mibs specific to the BL models.

Is there a way to know which traps a certain BL model can send in case of hardware failure ? I would like to forward hardware failures only, and I am trying to do some formatting to traps before forwarding them, so I need to know what these traps are exactly.

HP Sim 4.2, soon to be upgraded to 5.2; BL20p G3, BL40p G3, BL45p.

If you look in snmp trap settings (options), look for the mib name eg adaptec.mib and you can see all of the different trap names and what their descriptions are and what severity they are etc etc

Events from the Insight agents are almost exclusively hardware related. What do you think you have to filter?

Take a look at bladetype2.mib, it has some fan failure traps plus many others

regards
