Hi, Since we updated HIM to version 5.0 we are not able to run a custom command or a task with f.e. a batch. there is always same error:

The runnable task did not successfully build its environmental variable list. String index out of range: -1

Not even an internal command, like "dir" or "copy" do work.

Thanks for your support.
Regards,
Daniel

Hello,

Thanks for suggestions. We do have the problem on the Manager Workstation (WinXP Sp2). We changed the Regional settings to US, but it still does not work.
We would like to execute a batch file from the Mgmt Workstation. This would send the Administrtator an SMS. This worked perfect with HIM 4.2.
It is possible to execute the Tools/command line tools/windows/netstat for example. But it is not possible to execute Tools/custom commands/cmd.
The error appears, also, it doesn't matter if we execute notepad.exe or our batch file.

Do you have any ideas why?
Thanks again
Daniel

For executing custom commands from SIM on managed hosts you need to configure ssh on your managed hosts as well as you sim.

Hope this helps

Angelo
