It see the ports open. I deleted it and rediscover it. It shows the system management homepage and all the correct links. Still cannot connect by clicking on the system management page. Starting to think its a trust issue from the dmz server to the SIM console

At Automatic Discovery, the HPSIM-server verifies which ports are open between the HPSIM-server and the Managed System. If during the latest discovery the ports were found to be NOT open, the HPSIM-server supposes the connection over these ports is impossible.
You might give it a try after you have run a complete discovery to the IP-range of the DMZ.

Since your servers are in the DMZ, You can change the Trust Mode of your server's System Management Homepage.

The default trust mode used by SIM is Trust by Certificates. Using this trust mode in the DMZ will not worked . Instead, you can changed the trust mode using "Trust By Name". Depending on how do you access your SIM Server Console, Example.

Http://server1:280 then you specify Server1 in the Field of Trusted Name

or if you Use IP Address then you specify the ip address of your SIM Server.

Trust By Name works only on how will you access the SIM Console in order for you to access the HP System Management Homepage of your Server in your DMZ. For me, it is better to use FQDN of your SIM Server.

Hope this help.
