Hi ,

You need to configure snmp on your managed hosts as well as on your SIM server.

For managed hosts go to system management homepage-> settings -> snmp settings

For sim go to Options -> protocol settings -> global protocol settings under snmp

After you set this snmp dialog you will have all your stuff in sim

Remark: you ned also the corresponding mib files, but normally the default mibs are sufficient...

On the managed node, go and edit the SNMP service properties and add a read community string. The same community string should also be entered in the the Global protocol settings page of HPSIM. Also for efficient trap handling, on the managed node, enter the trap destination as your CMS.

Hope this helps!
