    <description>as i know this is not possible using SIM. SIM has limited monitoring oportunities. Here you can use OpenView Operations ( &lt;A href="http://www.openview.hp.com)." target="_blank"&gt;www.openview.hp.com).&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Another Idea could be to make a script and send an SNMP Trap if a service Stops (Maybe there is a MIB for SQL who can do this for you)...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards&lt;BR /&gt;Maurice</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you can at least monitor processes via the Insight Agents if you open the control panel -&amp;gt; Insight Agents.&lt;BR /&gt;The agents will send an SNMP trap if the process is stopped or started or as you define it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This would only help for very simple services and can not replace a real service monitoring system (for example if the data file of you SQL server is completely full and an autoexpand is not possible).&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
