Have you set up any trust relationship between the HPSIM Server and the other Servers?

If when you follow the link from the HW icon to the a Server you get challenged with account / password then no trust exists.
If you have done this, check that the Software Polling task has run. If not, you can run it manually.
After thinking I had a successful installation this morning, I seem to have had little problems popping up. I read some of the other threads and decided to do a fresh install. After doing that I clicked on Software Version Status. A new window pops up with: “Version Control Agent Trust Relationship Problem
Be sure that a trust relationship exists between the HP Systems Insight Manager and Version Control Agent on the target system. Consult the help for more information about setting up a trust relationship.”

What’s happening Now???????
Yes I have. I checked the trust relationship on one of the servers and under the TRUSTED CERTIFICATE LIST I see my CMS.
I also ran the Software Status Polling for that server and waited for that to complete.
HWStatus is normal, MPStatus is normal, but SWStatuse remains to be a Security Trust Issue.
Is there a document that I can download that will give me step by step installation?
At this point CA software is getting easier to config. : )

Odd that the HW is okay and not the SW.

On the Server you could try removing the Certificate and re-importing it. Then re-Identify and then rerun the SW Polling task.
Or try stopping / restarting the VCA Service and rerunning the SW polling task.

What happens if you use the link to the VCA from the Homepage itself?
Is that configured to talk back to the VCRM yet?

We tried just about everything last night. I was on the phone last night with HP till about 11:45. They're pasing it on the HPSIM Guru and I'll be expecting a call today around 1:30 this afternoon from him.
We went down to changing the trust to "trust all" just to see if that would correct the problem.

I'll come back later with the final results.

John
