Hello,

I have another question on this subject.
How do I get rid of that error?
Where does it come from? We have a MSL6000 series 0423 attached to our DL380 server farm running W2k SP4 and Citrix FR3.
We are getting this error every 2-8 minutes.
Veritas NetBackup Datacenter v. 4.5 is used for backing up our servers.

Thank you very much

You can't get rid of it. You need to filter it as noted above.

I am sorry, but I disagree with Gordon. If a device keeps being reported as 'offline', I think that is an issue to be addressed. You can make this go away by removing SCSI Information as one of the active agents, but I don't think this will fix the root cause. To do this, open HP (or Compaq) Management Agent from the Control Panel, and remove 'SCSI Information' from the list of active agents.

Check out this thread:

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=494149

Gordon, I agree. Turning off active agents is not to be done lightly. I only suggested this as a way for Hans "to get rid of this error". This is something that should be fixed by HP, since filtering out the notifications still does not fix the root problem.
