Hi,
I want to install HPSIM 5 along with my old CIM7. Upgrade cannot be considered...
Can I use the same SNMP traps? I manage around 250 servers and looking for the fastest and safest way to use a new and improved monitoring system.

Mike
Hi Mike,

To start with we just added in an additional trap destination to the existing communities - both CIMs logged the events OK. Haven't noticed any adverse effects so far and we're now removing the original destinations..

c~

It's set on the properties of the SNMP service within Windows.
I've never used CIM7 though, can you replicate SNMP settings to multiple servers with that the same way HPSIM5 can? Would make it much easier to configure this en masse if you have that many servers =)
