If you authenticate against the windows AD you can try access via a domain\username format.

Note also that in the agent config there's a section that sets what groups have administrator access so you'll need to be a member of that group.

Via SIM 5.0 SP3 running on a Win2000 server, I am trying to reset integrated logs on Novell servers which all run Insight Mgmt via PSP 7.40.

I have no problem getting to the :2301 screen (Foundation Agents). The 'Login Account' shows that I'm signed in with 'anonymous'. When I click on this to login as someone with appropriate rights to 'clear' the integrated log, I cannot figure out what 'Name' and Password' to enter. I have tried the SIM administrator/pw, my NDS id/pw, and my Windows ID/PW with no luck.

Which Name and PW should I be entering here to gain read/write rights to these pages?

Thanks - April

Ok, if this is Novell they don't use AD or system username/passwords. Your choices are: Administrator, Operator, User. User will not have the rights to clear the logs. If you don't know the password, the web agent used to ship with default passwords of Administrator for Administrator and Operator for Operator - they may have been all lower case I don't remember. Anyway, they may not ship with defaults anymore or they may have been changed.

-Rich

Thank you so much. These are all Novell servers and the default administrator / administrator worked.
