Thanks Todd,
Everything was in place, but you gave me a pinpointing to check the services. I checked the PMP service and for some unknown reason it was running with the .\administrator account. Strange!!!
I changed it to the correct account and YUP it works. Still have to wait for data to be collected and see if I get the green check mark.
I gave you 10 points for that man!
Hi you all,
I am troubleshooting a client's system on which the HPSIM is installed and on which also the PMP is installed. In the column that has PF as a heading I see a blue question mark for all the 4 servers that are monitored. I checked the SNMP config and everything seems o.k. Also the servers that are monitored are already licensed with the free licenses you get with the PMP.
The version of HPSIM is 4.2 with Service Pack 2 and the PMP version is 3.1.3. All systems are running Windows Server 2003 EE. Any hint for further troubleshooting???

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Make sure you have Monitoring and Alerting for those servers turned on in PMP. Do this by clicking on the Blue Question mark and it will pull up a page with 2 buttons. Admin and Licensing. Since they are already licensed you should only need to go to Admin button and then make sure the devices have Monitoring and Alerting and Logging if desired checked and select the number of collections to take and it should take off. Give it ample time to collect enough information to move from Blue Question mark to Green Check.

If that does not work check to make sure the Service is running on the HP SIM Server. The PMP service has been known to stop for no apparent reason. Restart the service and that should do the trick.
