<title>topic Automatic Event Handling in Server Management - Systems Insight Manager</title>
    <link>https://community.hpe.com/t5/server-management-systems/automatic-event-handling/m-p/3739224#M18741</link>
<description>I'm trying to do some automation based on receipt of an event. The event is a trap but I get the same trap (Same Event Type as seen by SIM) for multiple different reasons so I need to parse the trap to be able to determine if it's the one I want before taking any action. I have created a Custom Command but I don't see how I can pass the data in the event to my custom command. It doesn't give me that option when I define the Automatic event handling. I can define parameters for my custom command but I don't see how to get the information from the trap sent to my custom command. Anyone done this and have any examples I could look at? I'm running SIM 5.0 on Windows.&lt;BR /&gt;thanks- Carolyn</description>
