This is probably referring to disk space on the system with VCRM...

Otherwise, confirm that the SNMP service on the device in question is set to allow requests from LOCALHOST.

Hi

I get the following errors on a DL380 G3 when I want to view the Version control agent. I have verified that there is enough space as well as uninstalled the agent and reinstalled. I also deployed the latest support pack to the server.
Can anyone can help me?

1.VCA1079622775 3/18/2004 5:12:55 PM The Version Control Agent encountered an error while obtaining the software and firmware inventory.
2.Not enough storage is available to process this command. 3/18/2004 5:12:55 PM An error occurred while performing an operating system specific operation.

I've always found this to be some kind of configuration problem. Why it refers to storage being available is a bit of a mystery.

What if you get the error from the IM server itself using the VC Agent. I have uninstalled HP Agents, VCA and removed snmp, added and config snmp, reinstalled VCA and HP agents but leaving the Manager alone. Still getting the error about storage. Procedures work with client machines but not the server.

SNMP config to accept packets from all hosts.

Any clues?
