Phil, thanks for your response. I found out that I was using the wrong SMTP address. I was using the address that only sent SMTP internally. After I changed it to our outbound SMTP address, everything worked great!

Hi All,

I'm new to insight manager. We are using version 4.1, sp1. I am trying to configure alerts to go to our Nextel phones. When adding an event, I add 7035551212@messaging.nextel.com in the email address line. Although I receive the alerts in my outlook email, I never receive them via text message on my phone. I haven't found any information on this subject and would appreciate any help or suggestions.

Thanks.

Tamara,

We use the email to our Nextel phones from one of our midrange systems (OpenVMS) and to make this work we had to contact our Nextel office so they could setup something on the Nextel side to make this work.

Try to send a message to your phone using Outlook and see if that works or not. If it doesn't then contact Nextel and see what they have to do to get this to work.

Phil
