    <description>I will start out by saying I have no experience with SIM.  It was installed on our server before my arrival and the database has reached 58GB.  How do I shrink this database?  This is SIM version 4.1 with SP1.  Any help is greatly appreciated.</description>

      <description>You should be able to delete any old/unneeded events then do database maint using sql enterprise manager...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you're using MSDE I am unsure of the tool you'll need to do the maintence&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>If you're using MS SQL, then make sure the recovery model is set to simple.</description>

      <description>Most likely your have large transaction  log, you need to shrink the transaction log file and change to simple recovery model&lt;BR /&gt;See &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873235/en-us" target="_blank"&gt;http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873235/en-us&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
