Correct. The VCAgent will compare the currently installed software and driver versions to the versions listed in the Reference Support Pack. If the currently installed versions differ, the VCAgent will report 'out-of-synch'. This will not force servers to upgrade themselves, it will just display the yellow 'Minor' icon in the SW column.
You can set all servers to use the same Reference Support pack by copying the settings from a correctly configured system (Configure -> Replicate Agent Settings).

Folks,

In configuring the version control functionality for HPSIM, I am configuring the VCA on the managed node to point the the VCR on the HPSIM CMS...I have some servers running 5.5, 6.2, 6.4 and 7.0 agents - I am assuming that the 7.0 is the latest and that I want to 'synchronize' all my servers to the 7.0 agengt as the Reference Support Pack - which of course puts every server that is running anything but 7.0 'out of synch' - is that correct?

Thanks
Joe
