    <description>Thanks for the quick reply .&lt;BR /&gt;Does SIM logs all the events/traps in a log file just like for ex ,xxx.log . I do not want to access the DB .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Sudesh</description>

      <description>SIM logs all events it displays in the GUI in it's database.  It does not log the events that it is configured to discard.</description>

      <description>Hi Sudesh,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;No SIM only logs events into the SIM database and in fact the event data is spread between several database tables (notices, noticetype, trapdata, ...) and is not in any type of ASCII format that can be easily examined.  When SIM displays the events it retrieves the data and reformats it into a user friendly format.</description>
